Bibliography

Introduction

This Bibliography lists many of the books that have been published over the years which include information about the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway.

Many of these books are now out of print, but can sometimes be obtained through specialist second-hand railway booksellers in the UK. The books deal with a variety of subjects relating to the LB&SCR in differing depths of detail.

References to the published volumes of Ottley have been added (where possible) for books published before 1995. (G. Ottley, A Bibliography of British Railway History 2nd edition, HMSO, 1983. ISBN 0 11 290334 7; G. Ottley, A Bibliography of British Railway History Supplement, HMSO, 1988. ISBN 0 11 290364 9; and G. Boyes, M Searles, D. Stegges, Ottley's Bibliography of British Railway History Second Supplement, NRM, 1998. ISBN 1 872826 10 5).
